Our Story
Work Happier began as a conversation between two friends, Geoffrey and Scott, about the professional and career challenges they knew people were facing. That conversation moved into one about helping people and what kind of professional support is out there. They found that the traditional model of professional development was falling short in addressing the immediate, medium, and long-term goals people have. Instead of holding this knowledge in, they set out to make our considerable skills, experience, authenticity and passion available to anyone. Work Happier is the result of this idea and as consultants, coaches, mentors and partners alongside each of our clients, we are excited to help people move forward. ​Scott has been a people developer from very first job. He started his career as a multi-unit manager for the world's largest photo-processing company and by 23 years old, was a successful sales and training manager for a nationwide electronics retailer. He spent the next five years leading the turnaround of under-performing retail locations by focusing on the development of people, leading with empathy and building cohesive teams. Since then, Scott has worked with a wide variety of professionals across North America, including company owners, aspiring managers, customer service representatives, government employees and sales professionals looking to grow both themselves and their businesses.
Battling stage 4 cancer since 2011, Scott was inspired to start Work Happier in discovering that his greatest joys and strengths professionally have been his time spent helping people excel, counseling others on the management of people and building happier workplaces one person at a time. As a certified career coach with over 20 years of leadership experience, Scott is passionate about getting people where they want to be both personally and professionally.
When not professionally coaching and consulting, Scott dances every day, loves cooking (and eating) and is a long-suffering Minnesota sports fan. Scott currently lives in Ontario with his amazing wife, Emily, and his hilarious dog, Gus.
Geoffrey Daniel, MBA

Geoffrey Daniel is an accomplished and resourceful executive with an extensive track record in digital transformation, strategic communications, and user experience. Holding an MBA specializing in change management and business transformation from Royal Roads University, Geoffrey has dedicated over a decade to leading large teams and driving impactful digital projects across various sectors.

Beyond his professional roles, Geoffrey contributes to the design and content community as a Speaker Committee member and MC at the Design & Content Conference. His diverse educational background includes certificates in content strategy, digital communication, leadership, conflict resolution, project management, and technical writing from esteemed institutions such as the University of British Columbia, Justice Institute of British Columbia, and Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning.

Geoffrey’s expertise in team leadership, strategic planning, digital project management, and brand development positions him as an influential mentor and leader in digital transformation.
